Sylvia E. Klinger, MS, RD, LD is founder of Hispanic Food Communications, a food communications and culinary Consulting Company.

She is a registered dietitian of the American Dietetic Association and a licensed dietitian in the state of Illinois. The Chicago Dietetic Association in 1994 awarded "Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year" to Mrs. Klinger. In addition, Mrs. Klinger is a member of Dietitians in Business & Communications and the Food and Culinary Professionals practice groups.

Mrs. Klinger has presented a numerous conferences. Most recently she was a speaker at The International Association of Culinary Professionals in San Diego, CA. and also at the Conference of La Cumbre de las Américas de Nutricián y Salud in San Juan, PR.

She is culinary Consultant to Food Companies such as Nestle USA, Clinical Nutrition Division, Bell-Carter Foods, Grecian Delight, General Mills, Mc Ilhenny Company (Tabasco Brand) and the Quaker Oats Company where she has completed numerous culinary and communications projects.

Mrs. Klinger served as a research dietitian at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, IL under direction of widely published Linda Van Horne, PhD, RD. She has also worked for the WIC program as a supervising nutritionist and for the University of California Irvine Medical Center as a clinical and research dietitian. She began her career as an Administrative Dietitian at New England Memorial Hospital in Boston, MA.

She has appeared on NBC, 4 San Antonio Living Morning Show, Univision, Mundo Latino, Telemundo, America Teve and numerous local Hispanic cable stations. Mrs. Klinger has been a guest nutritionist on several local Hispanic radio talk shows. Mrs. Klinger also consults to food and public relations companies, including Ogilvy public relations (Chicago), Comadres — A Hispanic marketing Agency, Weber Shandwick, Fleishman-Hillard and Ketchum Public Relations.

Mrs. Klinger earned her bachelor degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA (1984) and her Masters of Science in Public Administration from DePaul University in Chicago, IL (1993).
